Sydney's weekend forecast

With the working week drawing to a close, it’s time for us to have another look at what ITM-ers can look forward to this weekend. While Sydney may be a week out from Vivid kicking off, there’s still plenty going on this Friday and Saturday night to tide us over.
Tonight, home-grown duo Softwar are bringing their disco/house sound to the Spice Cellar, while prog-trance fans can head to Fake Club to catch Dennis Shepard and Menno De Jong.
Come Saturday night, Sydney institution Chinese Laundry is celebrating their 16th birthday with a visit from veteran Robert Babicz and Laundry resident Bass Kleph. Meanwhile, nuSydney is taking to Sydney Harbour for a boat party with sets from Hook n Sling and eSQuire, and over at GoodGod, Subsonic is presenting Germany’s Klartraum.
But for hardstyle fans, this weekend is all about the visit from Dutch legends Showtek. The pair are stopping by the Hordern Pavilion tomorrow night, and they told us earlier this month that they’re planning keep fans excited on the production front. “If you always do the same DJ set, it does get boring,” Sjoerd Janssen explained. “There are so many DJs these days, so we just want to do a little bit more. It’s all about entertaining the people.” Head to the What’s On guide for the full story.
