Exit Festival's dance line-up fills out

Serbia’s Exit Festival has long led the charge of incredibly alluring international festivals. After all, the three-day event has plenty going for it: an historic Petrovardian Fortress for a venue, very-affordable ticket prices, sun, cheap beer and most of all, a massive, multi-genre lineup.

Earlier this year, Exit revealed the first lot of acts for its 2012 edition with the iconic New Order at the top of the bill. We said at the time that was just the tip of the Exit iceberg, and sure enough we’ve now been given another big hit of names headed to Serbia from July 12-15.

The good news for ITM-ers is that this is dance-heavy announcement. Recent additions to the 2012 bill include local favourites Knife Party alongside Sweden’s new dance titan Avicii, veteran Richie Hawtin and house favourite Claude VonStroke. Adding to that, there’s disco-types Azari & III and Hercules & Love Affair, the many-monikered Jacques Lu Cont and UK producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Punters literally party all night and sleep during the day, lose track of time and hang out together in specially set-up hostels. Beer costs less than a dollar. There is no curfew. Musically, Exit is an absolute treasure trove for fans of any genre, patently because it dips into all of them.” Yep, we’re sold.
