Parklife announces its 2012 plans

Image for Parklife announces its 2012 plans

This Spring sees the self-proclaimed ‘festival for music heads and dancing feet’ return for five shows around the country. Kicking off in Brisbane’s picturesque Botanic Gardens and winding up in Adelaide, this year’s Parklife tour also features a new venue for Sydney. The party will be moving from its Kippax Lake home to “a lush, tree-lined location deep inside Centennial Park”. Says Fuzzy Director John Wall: “It’s a layout that hasn’t been used for a festival before, and we think everyone will really love it.”

As for when we’ll have the line-up in our sights, no word has been given yet, but we’d put a punt on mid-June. Recently inthemix put our sleuthing caps on to place some bets on who we’ll see this September/October. Parklife HQ said we only got “a few bullseyes”, so let us know who you’re banking on. As you’ll recall, the 2011 tour featured a host of of-the-moment bass acts including Magnetic Man, Flux Pavilion, Joker and Nero, alongside Parklife favourites like MSTRKRFT, Diplo, Mylo and Digitalism, so expect a top-shelf line-up…

Why the hell does Parklife always clash with the NRL Grand Final, Fuzzy should have a long hard look at themselves. What if your team makes the GF?

i think they should re-schedule sydney away from the NRL grand final. it looks they have adjusted the dates for Melbourne to miss the AFL grand final this year. Put Parklife on the Saturday in Sydney and Sunday in Brisbane.

slinky87 said on the 31st May, 2012

@Mr Flauge, it has only been on in Melbourne during the grand final due to a draw in the first grand final.......pretty odd circumstances to say the least!!

my mistake then.
either way, it doesn't clash, it would be nice for sydney not to clash either
