When Van She released their debut album V back in mid-2008, the success of singles like Kelly and Strangers saw the Sydney group on high-rotation nationwide. But instead of rushing into a follow-up release to cash in on the hype, the Modular four-piece have taken four years to ready their second album, the forthcoming Idea of Happiness.

So with their sophomore LP release due early next month and the first single already out, it’s time for Van She to hit the road again. To celebrate the new album, the group has announced an 11-date Australia and New Zealand tour for next month. The comprehensive list of dates will see them hit Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Newcastle, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney before heading on to NZ and coming back via Hobart.

Better yet, they’ll be supported East Coast dates by local electronic up-and-comer RuFus, who’ve been busy making a name of their own with remixes for the Aston Shuffle and sold out shows around the country. Tickets are on sale now.
