Jamie xx announces 2012 solo club tour

Tickets for the The xx’s Australian tour sold out in minutes, but if you missed out you can still get a taste of the band’s new album Coexist and a dose of the group’s darkly melancholic R&B at Jamie xx’s solo shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
Jamie xx (real name Jamie Smith) will be leaving his band mates Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft to their own devices as he steps out to play two small club dates that are certain to sell out just as fast as the band shows.
In the past two years Jamie xx has remixed or collaborated with Gil Scott-Heron, Drake and Rihanna, Adele, Radiohead, and Florence and The Machine. Check out his Essential Mix featuring mixes of James Blake, Holly Miranda, War, Wiley and Radiohead.

Tuesday 17th July – New Guernica, Melbourne
Thursday 19th July – Goodgod Small Club, Sydney
