Paradise Club Mykonos reveals a giant 2012 lineup

Image for Paradise Club Mykonos reveals a giant 2012 lineup

As winter sets in ‘round these parts, the Northern summer with all its festival line-ups and giant club residencies begins to look all the more appealing. For many ITMers, the Greek island of Mykonos is right up the top of alluring holiday destinations – and as if the sun, beachside location and food aren’t reason enough to make the trip, the island’s top nightlife destination Paradise Club brings a summer line-up worth flying for year after year.

True to form, Paradise Club has released its 2012 line-up and it’s looking good. Big names like Afrojack, John Digweed and Martin Solveig are among those taking turns leading the all-night bashes, while eternal favourite Armin van Buuren is heading up one of the island’s famous full moon parties. There’s also a solid contingent of Aussie DJs: Dirty South, Kaz James, Sneaky Sound System and the Stafford Brothers all getting on the decks – fitting, given a lot of Australians make the pilgrimage to party at Paradise. There’s still more acts to be announced, but you can check out the line-up as it stands below.

There's something very wrong about the thinking behind this sentence:

"There%u2019s also a solid contingent of Aussie DJs: Dirty South, Kaz James, Sneaky Sound System and the Stafford Brothers all getting on the decks %u2013 fitting, given a lot of Australians make the pilgrimage to party at Paradise."

Why would Aussies travel half way round the world to hear Aussie DJs spinning their tunes, when they can hear them in their own cities? Surely it's the European DJs that are the pull?

A lineup with the Stafford Brothers on it is far from giant... must of run out of money after booking cheese acts.

Most big DJ's will require any Greek booked club to pay in advance (to hedge the risk of greece falling from the euro and the dollar being valued at nothing

Cheers to the Aussie Djs! They don't book the Aussie Djs for the Aussie tourists%u2026 they book them for the Europeans cause they like the way we party!

I agree, why would any aussie that's travelling to mykonos want to see a local aussie dj. Armin is the only decent one there and i'm seeing him a week later in Ibiza. Disappointing.
