By now, you’ve no doubt commited to memory the date Thursday 5 July. That’s when nationwide dance juggernaut Stereosonic will take the wraps off its 2012 line-up, which is sure to once again feature an A-list cast of talent. Thanks to some early slips, we already know the headliner leading the way is none other than Dutch goliath Tiesto, and fans of techno and electro will be rejoicing over the inclusion of suave Frenchman Gesaffelstein and U.S. gun Destructo. Obviously that’s just the tip of the incoming iceberg, so the countdown is on.

Recently, some inthemix sleuths found a Stereosonic listing on Songkick for Mad Decent hero and Moombahton specialist Dillon Francis, and the festival has confirmed to ITM HQ that the man is indeed on the 2012 bill. This year has been a big one for Francis, thanks to non-stop touring around the U.S. and further abroad. His new hook-up with Doctor P on Music Is Dead is doing the rounds, and there’s plenty more in that mould to come. Francis has also been working heavily with chart-topper Calvin Harris, so expect his Stereosonic sets to stacked with new music.

Stereosonic 2012 dates:

Saturday November 24th – Sydney
Sunday November 25th – Perth
Saturday 1st December – Melbourne
Saturday 1st December – Adelaide
Sunday 2nd December – Brisbane

Oh Dillon... why oh why! I love what you do but I couldn't bring myself to put up with the worse crowd I've ever had the displeasure of being around... roided up guys chewing their heads off, shirts off with no clue about music except that they've heard a song called Levels... and having to travel to the western suburbs to be in a concrete jungle.
Side show please!!!!
