Another big name for Stereosonic 2012?

While Stereosonic 2011’s mainstage headliner was Dutch kingpin Armin van Buuren, there was another major drawcard for the trance fans: Dash Berlin. The trance arena packed out for the Dutchman’s sets, and we could be seeing a repeat of that in 2012, if a bit of sleuthing from the dudes at the Stoney Roads blog proves to be correct.

As they discovered, the events page on Dash Berlin’s official site shows a ‘Pacific Tour’ that lines up exactly with the Stereosonic dates. Seems like a pretty good bet, but we’ll find out for sure when inthemix exclusively reveals the official line-up next Thursday 5 July. To celebrate the pending announcement we’ve got the first tickets available to giveaway. All up there’s $10,000 worth of tickets to be won, so get amongst it.

We’re tipping this year’s touring party to be even bigger than 2011’s, which featured Avicii, Kaskade, Carl Cox and The Bloody Beetroots top-billed alongside Armin. For the trance followers, last year also brought BT, Ferry Corsten, Arty, Jochen Miller and Myon & Shane 54, so expect a strong contingent again.

The timing’s certainly right for a return tour from Dash Berlin. He’s just released a new album #musicislife and a lengthy run of shows awaits. “There is no doubt that Dash Berlin’s music is polished and expertly produced,” our reviewer wrote. “The percussion is crisp and bright, the basslines chunky and aggressive and he balances his vocals beautifully amidst typical trance lashings of reverb and delay.”
