On Saturday 24 November, Kicks Entertainment brings another A-list line-up to the capital for Foreshore Festival. The sixth annual edition of the party will be held at a brand new site at Commonwealth Park, encompassing Stage 88, Regatta Point and the Lake Burley Griffin foreshore. The new location promises “majestic lake views, cool shady areas and comfy-grassed areas all with in easy access to the city center facilities and transport”. Last year’s event featured Afrojack, Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Pnau and many more, and this time is equally star-studded.

With a new album in the works and his festival game-plan water-tight, Dutch goliath Tiesto is as headliner-worthy as they come, and he’s in the top spot for 2012. Chart-ruling crossover king Calvin Harris will also be there to show off his recent handiwork, while the dance contingent also includes U.S. star Bassnectar, trance favourite Dash Berlin and the fast-rising boy wonder Porter Robinson.

There’s plenty of live action too, with local drawcard 360 alongside internationals Example, Naughty By Nature and Major Lazer. After taking over America, big-room house export Tommy Trash is also back, along with The Stafford Brothers, Flume, Bombs Away and hometown heroes Peking Duk. Tickets on sale 19 July, and a second round line-up is expected to follow soon.

Foreshore Festival first line-up:

Calvin Harris
Naughty By Nature
Major Lazer
Dash Berlin
Porter Robinson
Tommy Trash
The Knocks
Bombs Away
Stafford Brothers + Timmy Trumpet
Peking Duk
+ more to be announced as a part of the second round announcement

Bassnector is cool, but reckon it would be worth heading up to Sydney - still it's always good to go to a festival and see everyone you know there...
