Eclipse2012 festival reveals mammoth line-up

Image for Eclipse2012 festival reveals mammoth line-up

Back in May, we announced the first round of names set to make the pilgrimage to the north of Cairns for the one-of-a-kind Eclipse2012 festival. Stretching across a marathon seven days from 10 to 16 November, a Total Eclipse of the Sun will occur over Northern Australia early in the morning of 14 November 2012, right in the midst of the festivities. The festival is led by the creators of Rainbow Serpent Festival, Symbiosis Gathering in the USA, hallowed U.K. weekender Glade Festival and Mother in Japan: an experienced committee if ever there was one. Now the line-up for Eclipse2012 has been revealed, and it’s an absolute monster, featuring electronic talent from all corners of the globe. You can marvel at the stage-by-stage breakdown below.

Where to begin? Perfect Stranger and Oliver Lieb are leading the Sun Stage, with many more acts across the psytrance, progressive and techno spectrum. The Sky Stage is all about techno, progressive and tech-house, with Berlin’s Bar 25 pitching in alongside Shine On and Subsonic. Technasia, King Unique, Egbert, Psycatron and D-Nox are just a small selection of the names on-board for that corner of the festival. Then there’s the Moon Stage where bass and broken beats rule with FreQ Nasty, Tipper, Dub FX and more, while [aa.artist:Fat Freddy’s Drop] lead the Earth Stage. Bring all that together with some natural splendour, and you’ve got a very compelling reason for a road-trip. Tickets are on sale now, so check out the website for everything you need to know.

The cool thing is, this is all I could fit on the media release. There's more internationals and local acts still to come and another whole stage to announce. :)
