After a massive 12-date tour in 2011, the inthemix awards are hitting the road again to celebrate 10 years of their annual dance music awards event. This year inthemix has invited both old and new friends along for the ride with Andy Murphy, DJ Kronic, Ember and Chardy currently packing their bags to embark on a huge national tour reaching all corners of the country.

Kicking off on July 28th the 15-date tour will zig zag its way up the East Coast, wrapping things up with a closing party at Family in Brisbane on September 1st. The tour coincides with voting for the inthemix awards which opens on July 28th and closes on September 2nd.

2012 is set to be an exciting year for the inthemix awards with new categories, industry voted awards and the announcement of a sit-down dinner in Sydney to celebrate a decade of the Australian dance music industry awards. This year, public votes will decide the National Top 50 DJs, Favourite Boutique Festival, Favourite Major Festival, Favourite Club Night and Favourite International while new industry-voted awards will determine Breakthrough Artist, Best Track/Remix, Best Live Act and more.

If you’re a DJ, club promoter of festival promoter, the first stage is open right now at inthemix.com.au/awards for you to check, confirm or add your details to the database. More details of the sit-down 10-year anniversary dinner will be announced in the coming weeks.

Are these venues indicative of the likely winners of the best venue awards? Because I've never heard of most of them!
