Last year 46,650 music fans tuned in to watch Splendour in the Grass sets from Coldplay, The Kaiser Chiefs, Elbow, The Vines, Cloud Control and The Vaccines on the festival stream. This weekend, Virgin Mobile will once again be broadcasting from the festival so you’ll be able to watch eight hours of Supertop and Mix-Up Tent action.

This time round, cross-continental indie-pop outfit Miike Snow is on board for the stream, hitting the mainstage on Saturday night. With new album Happy To You recently out, the band’s set at the Coachella festival back in April generated a wave of buzz. “If we wanted to go straight down that alley of making pure pop-dance music, we could have,” Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt told inthemix recently. “But I think we wanted to steer clear of that, because the writing was kind of on the wall: at the time that we started making this record, it seemed like everything that hit the top 40 was like four-on-the-floor, using certain synthesiser sounds. I think there’s something in all of us that sees the whole crowd going in one direction and it makes us want to go in the other direction.”

Crossover tastes will also be served on the stream by a cast of locals and internationals: Ladyhawke, Kimbra, Cast Of Cheers, Band Of Skulls, Bleeding Knees Club, Last Dinosaurs and more. Watch all the action from 3pm, Saturday 28 July on Virgin Mobile’s YouTube channel. If you haven’t seen the set times yet, check out the timetables on inthemix.
