Deadmau5 unveils new track & studio set-up

With a new album scheduled for release later this year, it’s no surprise that Deadmau5 has been pretty busy in the studio. The output’s been steady the last month or two, and the latest fruit of his labour is the brand-new There Might Be Coffee, which the mau5 posted to his Soundcloud this morning.

If you weren’t wild about the addition of vocals from My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way on Professional Griefers earlier this month, you’ll be pleased to hear that There Might Be Coffee is instrumental – for now, at least. This latest track and the preview of Professional Griefers follows last month’s The Veldt EP release, which is the first in a series to be released in the coming months before being rolled into full-length album set for the shelves later this year. “Wow. fuck. all my shit does sound the same. lol to that,” he quipped on Twitter while putting the finishing touches on There Might Be Coffee. “Either that or this chord progression just works with fuckin anything.”

If you’re wondering just what goes into producing a Deadmau5 track, Joel Zimmerman also dropped some damn impressive pictures of his studio set-up last week – check out the snaps and the new tune below.
