The Potbelleez DJz announce 'No Requests' club tour

Before setting their sights on chart success, Johnny Sonic and Dave Goode established The Potbelleez name as club-hopping weekend warriors. Having relocated to Australia from their native Ireland, the duo became a regular fixture on the early-2000s circuit, playing sets that covered house, electro and whatever else took their fancy. Starting this Friday 3 August, ‘The Potbelleez DJz’ will be getting back into that vibe with an extensive 20-stop road-trip. It’s called the ‘No Requests’ tour, and includes their first-ever set at Sydney’s Marquee Nightclub on Saturday 22 September. “We are super-pumped for this tour,” says Dave Goode. “It’s a great opportunity to get hyped about new music before we head back to the studio to record the next Potbelleez album.”
The last studio effort from the Potbelleez band was 2011’s Destination Now, which they supported with an extensive live tour. They also snagged the support slot for R&B superstar Usher that year, warming the stage at 14 stadium-sized dates. Before Destination Now was 2008’s self-titled LP, which included high-charting singles Are You With Me and Don’t Hold Back.
In June last year, the Potbelleez pair prepared an exclusive mix for ITM charting some of their favourite clubbing memories, including hallowed records by Green Velvet, Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, The Prodigy and more.
