Listen: Diplo recruits Boys Noize for a BBC Radio 1 mix

As anyone with a taste for dance music and a decent internet connection could tell you, BBC Radio 1 (and their online streaming player) can be counted on to bring the goods. As well as, of course, Pete Tong’s weekly Essential Mix, the legendary UK station also airs shows hosted by Annie Mac, dubstep dons Skream and Benga and their most recent recruit, Mad Decent boss Diplo.

The ever-busy producer joined the station lineup in April this year as the host of the weekly show Diplo & Friends. Diplo’s known for his many and varied collaborations, so it’s no surprise that only a few months into the gig, he’s already recruited an impressive medley of ‘Friends’ to help him out: the likes of Brodinski, Dillon Francis and Four Tet having all dropped by. This weekend past, Diplo welcomed a new recruit to the show when German techno whizz and object of many-an-affection Boys Noize stopped by to deliver an hour long mix for the Radio 1 program.

Included on the Boysnoize Records-heavy mix are offerings from Scuba, Bok Bok and SCNTST, as well as Alex Ridha’s own recent single XTC, the first to come off his forthcoming album Out Of The Black, which is due October 2.
