Headed back for the first time since 2008, house head Funkagenda has announced that he’ll be hitting our shores for a five-date Australian club tour come September. For Australian visit number three, Funkagenda (real name Adam Walder) will be heading to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and the Gold Coast.

The visit comes off the back of a busy run for Walder: he’s been running prog-focussed London label Funk Farm, remixing everyone from Nero to Moby and even producing for the Black Eyed Peas (but don’t talk to him about “selling out”). Of course, he’s also made the time to focus on priority #1: delivering quality, big room house DJ sets. ITM’s reviewer described Funkagenda on a previous visit as “a man clearly at the top of his game”, and a few years on we’re sure he’s only gotten better. Tickets are available through Moshtix or on the door.

Funkagenda tour dates:

Friday 28 September – The Met, Brisbane
Saturday 29 September – Pretty Please, Melbourne
Sunday 30 September – White Rabbit, Adelaide
Friday 5 October – Marquee, Sydney
Saturday 6 October – Platinum, Gold Coast
