A good four years on from the triple-platinum, multi ARIA award winning success of Apocolypso, we’re now just days away from the release of The Presets long awaited third album. Pacifica drops on Friday, but if you want to hear (some of) it ahead of time, Modular are streaming a new track from the LP every day this week on their website.

Today, the track on offer is Push, which stays true to Gus Da Hoodrat’s “darker and harder” assessment of the new album. As for the duo’s own thoughts on Pacifica? “Sometimes I don’t even feel like we make dance music, we just make Presets music,” Julian Hamilton told inthemix last week. “And more often than not hopefully it’s something you want to dance to. We just try and make ‘us’ music and not worry too much about what’s happening on the radio, otherwise we’d just be making dubstep all day long.”

We’re now two singles into Pacifica, with both the techno lead single Youth in Trouble and sea shanty-esque Ghosts already out. If you want to know exactly how Pacifica stacks up next to the first two albums ahead of the release date, Modular are throwing a listening party on Thursday night and we’re giving away 10 double passes to head along.
