Adelaide's newest record label

A new record label has just been launched in Adelaide by Mark7. 5158 Records is a Drum’n’bass/Breaks music label that has been established as an outlet for local producers and DJs to get their music heard. Mark7 believes that there are so many talented artists not getting heard and currently the label is putting releases out on CD format with one of it’s short term goals being the release of vinyl which could occur as early as late 2002.
Last Friday was the launch of 5158’s first EP – Mark7’s Rethink EP – featuring the following tracks: Rethink, Magnetic Restraint, Disguise and Time Shifter.
The next release for the label with be in July 2002, “Adelaide Drum’n’bass Vol.1” a double CD featuring tracks from some of the big names in the Australian Drum’n’bass scene, Mark7, Fiction, MPK, Patch and Hooligan soul. Along side, some extremely talented new artists Skiver, Timothy Grass, Phink, Djon, Khemophlarge, G-Swift and many more…
