If you thought that guy sobbing tears of joy during Silence at Stereosonic 2010 had a lot of love for Tiesto, he aint got nothing on what’s happening Stateside. Forbes Magazine have long been singing his praises as the world’s highest-paid DJ, thanks to all the US lovin’, and in just a few weeks he’ll be commencing his second annual invasion of the country’s campuses.
Labeled “Tiësto’s Club Life College Invasion Tour”, the marauding Dutchman is set to commence his conquering quest in the state of New York at the beginning of October. It’ll then see him ripping his way through the Northeast and Midwest of the country, before reaching the South West and West Coast before the month is completed.
While it’s branded as a ‘College’ tour, any naive notion we’d see Tiesto DJing at modest student drinking holes were dashed following a single glance at his mighty tour schedule, which sees him playing at venues with names like the ‘Washington Avenue Armory’ and ‘Erie Insurance Arena’. So it’s less of a ‘College Invasion’, and more just a general invasion, by the looks.
Whether or not you’re a fan of the big man from Holland, and the ‘trouse’ sound he was personally responsible for labeling several years ago, it’s no secret the Australia also has a lot of love for Tiesto. After making grown men cry on the Stereosonic tour in 2010, he’ll be returning in November once again to assume headline duties, as the tour rips around the country.
