On The Harbour announces NYE 2012 lineup

With the calendar having only just flipped over into October, the competition for how to do New Year’s Eve is already pretty tough. To scratch the surface of possible events to head to come December 31, there’s a road trip to Falls Festival, Shore Thing in Sydney, Origin NYE in Perth and Summadayze in Adelaide as well as an assortment of smaller club events and parties to choose between. Now, we’ve got another worthy contender in the NYE stakes: Sydney’s On The Harbour.

Back for its third year, On The Harbour has just announced an impressive 2012 lineup. Leading the charge is Pnau (no Elton, though), the duo putting on an exclusive live Sydney performance. They’re backed up by two-time victor of the inthemix awards Ajax, triple j favourites YesYou, celebrated up-and-comer Elizabeth Rose and Emoh Instead, one half of What So Not. Then there’s DJ sets from the Sosueme DJs and DJ Flagrant, with more acts still to be announced. As the name would suggest, On The Harbour is set to the fireworks-and-all backdrop of Sydney Harbour, going down from the vantage point of Cargo Bar.
