The New Year’s Eve party with the best view in Sydney is back again to usher in 2013. Harbour Party NYE returns to its stomping ground of Luna Park on Monday December 31st, opting for a more pop direction this time alongside the dance bookings. In addition to the music, there’s also unlimited rides and of course prime position for the fireworks.
For the pop-leaning crowd, there’s Ricki-Lee and London vocalist Marvin Priest. On the DJ front, though, local heroes The Aston Shuffle are leading the charge. After a devoted year in the studio, the duo will be dropping LP number two in early 2013. “After the release of Seventeen Past Midnight we’ve been hitting the studio pretty hard of late and there’s some real magic coming out,” Mikah told us last year. “What took us like two years to put together for the last album has taken like a couple of months, and we feel we’ve really learnt some lessons from last time and are really nailing ‘our sound’.” Expect to hear some new material aired on New Year’s. The line-up also includes Luciana and Ivan Gough, with more to be announced.
