The rumour mill’s been in full swing for a while now, but the wait for next year’s Future Music Festival lineup is almost over. It’s time to lock it in: Future have announced that they’re dropping the 2013 lineup next week, on Wednesday October 10.
That’s exactly a year to the date since Future dropped their mega 2012 lineup with blockbuster headliners Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex and Fatboy Slim at the top of the bill. With New Order added in the second announcement and cult acts like Die Antwoord, Paul van Dyk and the inimitable Aphex Twin proving seriously impressive, 2012 was arguably Future’s best year yet. So how are FMF going to top that for 2013?
There’s been nothing in the way of leaks yet, but that’s not to say we can’t speculate. Boys Noize has already revealed he’s headed back in 2013 so a spot on a Future bill could well fit, and it’s certainly a booking plenty have been hanging out for. From there, it’s anyone’s guess – Future have promised their “biggest festival lineup yet” and there’s no doubt they’ve got the pulling power to bring some huge acts our way. Check out our full Future wish-list below and head back here on Wednesday morning for the big reveal. So who are you hoping to see?
Future Music Festival 2013 dates:
Brisbane – Saturday March 2
Perth – Sunday March 3
Sydney – Saturday March 9
Melbourne – Sunday March 10
Adelaide – Monday March 11
