FACT lines up Troy Pierce cruise & Mobilee NYE

Having already presented the likes of Audiofly, Satoshi Tomiie, Martin Buttrich, Tini and Ralph Lawson in Sydney, local crew FACT is gearing up for a big end to 2012. First up, on Saturday 17 November, is a cruise headlined by Troy Pierce. Having built a reputation through his releases on Minus, Pierce is now focused on Items & Things, the imprint he presides over with Marc Houle and Magda. Established in 2006, Items & Things has ramped up in the last couple of years, and the Variables vinyl box-set a few months back showcased the label’s production stable, including Jimmy Edgar, Click Box, Rework, Populette and of course the three bosses. Pierce hits the Harbour on The Lady Rose from midday, with YokoO and Bella Sarris in support.

On New Year’s Eve, FACT has secured one of the best views in town: The Museum of Contemporary Art rooftop terraces. The big night sees FACT collaborating with esteemed Berlin label Mobilee Records. Two of the stars of the Mobilee family, Martin Landsky and And.ID, will be leading the soundtrack. Mobilee has staged a string of rooftop parties in 2012, with Berlin, Barcelona and Moscow on the itinerary (Landsky was part of the Berlin line-up). And.ID is set to play live on New Year’s, following the release of his album Black Mamba on Mobilee in May of this year. Then, of course, there’ll be the fireworks.
