The Prodigy give 'Fat Of The Land' the deluxe reissue treatment

2012 is shaping up to be a very good year for releases from the The Prodigy. As well as the new studio album due to arrive before the end of the year, the Future Music Festival headliners have announced they’ve got something else hitting shelves before 2013 rolls in: the trailblazing Brits are reissuing 1997’s Fat Of The Land, in both double CD and vinyl form.

On December 4 Keith Flint and co will drop the Fat of the Land reissue, 15 years on from its original release. The reissue is set to feature remixes from the likes of Noisia, Major Lazer, Zeds Dead and the The Glitch Mob, bringing the release up to 16 tracks long. It’s not the first time the group’s given an LP the reissue treatment – Invaders Must Die was expanded to three-disc edition in 2009.

No doubt, there’ll be plenty keen to get a hold of the anniversary edition of the album. Fat of the Land is as seminal as dance records come and is arguably The Prodigy’s most successful album, hitting #1 around the world and spawning singles Firestarter, Breathe and of course, Smack My Bitch Up.
