Kendrick Lamar announces debut Australian tour

With his status as hip-hop’s next big thing looking likelier by the day, Kendrick Lamar has announced he’s headed our way for his first ever Australian tour. Coming over for a whirlwind mid-December trip, Lamar’s tackling Australia to celebrate the release of his first major label album good kid, m.A.A.d city which gets its official Australian unveil this Friday, October 26.
Shooting straight outta Compton (really!) to the attentions of Dr Dre, Lamar was signed to Dre’s Aftermath label and Interscope after the success of his 2010 mixtape Overly Dedicated and independent album Section 80. For his first time our way, the hyped lyricist is hitting Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom, Sydney’s Metro Theatre, The Hi-Fi Brisbane and Capitol in Perth. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Thursday 13th December – Prince Bandroom – Melbourne
Friday 14th December –The Metro – Sydney
Saturday 15th December – The HiFi – Brisbane
Sunday 16th December – Capitol – Perth
