Stereosonic 2012 set times announced

After a long wait, it’s almost time for Stereosonic to set off around the country. As well as a few returning heroes, Stereosonic ‘12 is also bringing some new faces and arenas to make this year the most diverse yet. Now comes the time to plan your day with the official set times. With five stops across two weekends and a host of stages covering techno, trance, dubstep, electro, house and more, it’s the line-up that proves bigger is better.

After pulling huge crowds at Stereosonic 2011, Swedish sensation Avicii is back at the top of the bill alongside Tiesto, with chart-ruling crossover king Calvin Harris completing the trifecta of DJ top-billers. From there, well, the list goes on – and the planning gets complex. On the live front, there’s Example and the livewire antics of Major Lazer, while mainstage-ruling types like Laidback Luke, Chuckie and Martin Solveig are also bringing their CD wallets and USBs.

You might instead find yourself stationed for most of the day at Carl Cox’s ‘The Revolution Continues’ arena, together with Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn and Loco Dice. For the first time in Australia, there’s also a Hard Arena presented by L.A. gun Destructo and a stage curated by the forward-thinking Social Club in Paris. Then of course there are the arenas for trance and bass devotees, and checklist of names that ITMers have been waiting for, like Zedd, Nina Kraviz, Gesaffelstein and Brodinski. Following his much-buzzed-about sets on last year’s tour, Dash Berlin is back for the trance fans, alongside Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Aly & Fila, Orjan Nilsen and Simon Patterson. There’s so much more as well, so good luck planning your day…

Before you comment on the small-ness of the set times, we're chasing more readable ones!

Hmmmmm last year I jumped out of ANZ stadium to watch Ferry rock it hard at the Cox tent, then couldn't get back into ANZ for the closing sets....Ferry was fantastic, but do I risk not getting into Skoda Porter/Shulz or even Carl? Hmmmm......decisions decisions.....

Carl cox arena is simply divine. Not moving from there. Good job stereo - such a shame that cox isnt playing longer though.

looks fairly good but the sets are short, 90% are for 1 hr. People like Dash Berlin who is #7 in world rankings should get longer. Everyone should have played for 1.5 hrs as by he time they change over they will get 45-50minutes :-(

dumbest festival ever. why do they bother getting so many big names, you miss out on seeing 75% of acts you want to see because everything clashes.
carl cox, mstrkft, schulz and gessafelstein clash what a joke

Not that I'm going but I would be pissed if I was seeing there was never anyy mention of Gesaffelstein or Brodinski not playing in Adelaide yet I can't seem to see them on the set times.

Biggest fail is DASH BERLIN only playing for 1 bloody hour!! come on Stereo he is the main Trance DJ playing there and he gets 1 hour?? He should be closing the Kabuki Stage at every event.. OR at least let him close the Main Stage. He is the only reason why me and my mates are going but this is just a huge let down..
