Since founding Bromance, most of Brodinski’s musical endeavours have seen him pair up with labelmate Gesaffelstein. The Gallic dream team, as we’ve come to call them, have racked up a few joint EPs in Bromance’s first year of life and midway through 2012, Gesaffelstein branched out and dropped one all on his own, the heavy-hitting Rise of Depravity. However unlike Geseff’, until this week Brodinski hadn’t yet released a solo EP of his own on the label. But yesterday, the Frenchman dropped his first lone EP Dance Like Machines, the two-track making Bromance’s seventh release.

“The first year of Bromance has been super amazing, definitely a lot more than I was expecting,” Brodinski told inthemix. “I created the label with Manu, my manager, to push the artists we love and to release our own music with our own schedule – our own way of doing things”. So was it a conscious decision for Brodinski to go it alone on the new EP? “Yes, definitely! Gesaffelstein released his own EP in July – it’s good to show people our own side.”

As well as the Brodinski and Gesaffelstein team, Bromance also boasts French foursome Club Cheval, who accompanied the label heads to Australia for the recent Stereosonic tour. “They are my producers, my friends too, it’s just amazing to work with them,” the Hard Arena headliner enthused. “They have such an amazing way of seeing music. They’re the future and I’m pretty convinced about that, I can’t wait for them to show the world what they have in mind.” In the meantime, listen to a (pretty decent sized) preview of the Dance Like Machines EP below or head to Beatport to pick it up.
