‘Tis the season for last minute sideshow announcements! Yesterday, Chinese Laundry dropped the news that they’ll be hosting 2012’s breakthrough stars Disclosure tomorrow night and Krafty Kuts & A-Skillz on Friday, while Future Entertainment revealed that The Chemical Brothers, Booka Shade, Carl Craig and Maya Jane Coles are heading up the gigantic bill for this Friday’s One Night Only show. But lucky for us, that’s not all that’s in store for Sydney over the remainder of the week: we can now add Mark Ronson, Tiger &Woods, Aeroplane and a secret international guest to the must-attend list.

The string of shows kicks off tonight with Tiger and Woods, hosted by Future Classic at Spice Cellar from 10pm. Then come Friday, Aeroplane will be dropping by the She Pop Up Club in Surry Hills, joined by Sydney’s own Lancelot – full details are in the ITM What’s On. Then UK tastemaker Erol Alkan hits Oxford Art Factory on Friday 4 January – head to the What’s On listing for details. Next up, you can catch king of cool Mark Ronson at Pacha (that’s ivy if you missed the news) on Saturday, the New Yorker joined by Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and his Bike Song collaborator Spank Rock. Adding to that, we’ve known for a while now that Hold Tight! is bringing Digital Mystikz, Gaslamp Killer, Rustie and Theo Parrish to the Metro Theatre. Busy week, eh?

Capping it all off, Goodgod have revealed that they’re teaming up with Scottish label/party series Numbers for their first ever Australian event tomorrow night, Thursday January 3. Numbers have released records by the likes of Jamie xx, Hudson Mohawke, Mosca, SBTRKT and more, so it ought pique your interest they’ve promised to bring along a secret international guest. With a couple of those names in town at the moment with the New Year’s festival circuit, chances are we can expect someone big – not to mention the last time Goodgod promised a secret international, it turned out to be Thom Yorke.
