The Future Music Festival-bound Hardwell had one mighty 2012, rattling off an impressive list of achievements. So how’s the year in review looking? Well, the Dutch young gun soared to the #6 spot in the 2012 DJ Mag Top 100 poll, ahead of heavyweights like Skrillex, Above & Beyond and even Swedish House Mafia. Then, he delivered his first Essential Mix, continued to work alongside guys like Tiesto and eventually, cracked the 500,000 fans mark on Facebook.

To celebrate that half a million milestone – and his all-round biggest year to date – the man born Robbert van de Corput has released a free-to-download 60-minute mix. Hardwell’s Yearmix 2012 includes the first ever spin of the vocal version of his hit Apollo, as well as productions from his label Revealed Recordings signees Dannic, Dyro, Firebeatz and Jordy Dazz. Tune into or download the mix below or on Hardwell’s Soundcloud.

But you won’t find any SHM in this mix. Back in August, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso had a very public spat with Hardwell after he included Swedish House Mafia material in a free bootleg pack to celebrate reaching 300,000 Facebook fans. “The thing is this: Hardwell is a great producer, he’s a very talented DJ, he is a great guy,” Seb Ingrosso told inthemix a couple of months on from the run in. “Make bootlegs, that’s fine. But if you wanna make bootlegs and gain fans on Facebook, give away your own songs.” Seems Hardwell’s heeded that advice.
