Marquee announces Kaskade and Nicky Romero shows
Mon 7th Jan, 2013 Newsin
Since opening its doors a little under a year ago, Marquee Sydney has welcomed a rollcall of A-list names to the decks. From Paul Oakenfold and Above & Beyond through to Avicii, Afrojack and even the inimitable Psy, Marquee’s kept the big name bookings coming. The latest to sign on for the Sydney superclub experience? Big Day Out stars Kaskade and Nicky Romero.
Both of the Boiler Room-bound producers have signed up for sets at the Pyrmont club, Nicky Romero on Friday January 18 and Kaskade on Saturday January 19. Of course, this will make for Kaskade’s second visit to the Sydney branch of the Vegas institution, Ryan Raddon first stopping by Marquee back in June for a heaving three-and-a-half-hour set. This is, however, Dutchman Nicky Romero’s first visit to Marquee. Entry to Nicky Romero’s set will cost you $40 on the door, while info about Kaskade ticketing is yet to be announced.
Kaskade and Romero are joining the headliners Bloody Beetroots, dystopian electro masters Crystal Castles, genre-bender Pretty Lights, US trance star BT, dubstep fast-risers Adventure Club on their first visit to Australia and more in the Boiler Room for the 2013 BDO tour, which kicks off in Sydney on January 18 before rolling through the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.
