Marcel Dettmann locks in 2013 tour dates

Having last rattled our clubs alongside Ben Klock in 2011, Berlin figurehead Marcel Dettmann returns in February. Dettmann will need no introduction for techno devotees. One of the key players at Berlin’s Berghain, he also roams the world throughout the year. 2012 saw the DJ present his MDR nights in Moscow, at London’s Fabric, and more stops around Europe. A few months back, he checked in for a Boiler Room session from Berlin, and you can listen to the set below. Consider it a mood-setter for his club shows here.

“Everything that happens at Berghain, still stays at Berghain,” Dettmann said in the promo video for his Conducted mix-CD. “People are really happy to be a part of the night. If you want to go there and freak totally out, you won’t see any pictures. At the beginning I like to play drones and some weird electronic stuff, really starting slowly. I like to play prime-time as well, which is even tougher. But my favourite is to play the end, because it’s like a marathon. Sometimes you play eight, sometimes 12, hours.”
