Parklife locks in 2013 return - start the line-up speculation!

Cast your mind back to the year just been and you’ll recall that the Parklife 2012 lineup sure packed plenty of punch. From the live return of local heroes The Presets to a DJ set from Justice and a bass contingent led by Nero, Rusko and Benga, there was plenty to suit all tastes. Not to mention Tame Impala just before their second album Lonerism blew up and topped Best of 2012 critics lists around the world, alongside fellow indie favourites Chairlift, Passion Pit and the inimitable Robyn.
You might wonder, then, who Fuzzy have lined up for 2013. Confirming on their Facebook over the weekend that they’ll be back this September/October, we’re declaring the Parklife guessing game officially open. At the tail-end of last year, we posed the question on the inthemix Facebook wall: who would you like to see tour in 2013? Inspired by all the replies, we’ve put together the wish-list below. So, who are we tipping that could fit a Parklife bill? Well, there’s certainly plenty we want to see: like the live return of European guns Trentemoller and John Talabot, to get things started. A visit from trap maestros TNGHT (that’s the combined powers of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice) would certainly be welcome, as would a look at Sub Focus’ mighty flashy, new-and-improved live show.
We also reckon the legendary Soulwax (the new album’s coming together), Nightcall whiz Kavinsky and even (fingers crossed!) Modeselektor could all work on the bill. Of course, we won’t know for sure until Fuzzy delivers the line-up in a few months time. But hey, an ITMer can dream, right? Even with 2012 reeling in some big, long-awaited tours, there’s plenty to look forward to in 2013.
