Four Tet may have only released Pink a few months ago, but as ever Kieran Hebden’s not slowing down. Today the UK maestro released a new LP, for free download no less, via his Soundcloud. Hebden uploaded 0181 late last night, a selection of unreleased material made between 1997 and 2001. Though at 38 unbroken minutes long, it’s more one long song than an album with distinct tracks. “People keep asking for a tracklist,” Hebden posted on Twitter. “It’s just one track…it’s just 0181.”

Good news for the wax devotees, too – Hebden’s indicated 0181, a more jazz-focused offering than his recent output, will get a vinyl release sometime in the future. In the meantime, dive into the digital version below. 0181 comes off the back of a busy run for Hebden: in August, he released Pink through Text, a collection of vinyl singles released over the course of the previous year and one of ITM’s favourite releases of 2012. Before that, he left his mark on the Fabric series, teamed up with fellow whizz Burial for Nova and in April released the 45-minute Conference of the Birds mix. Knowing Four Tet, we can expect plenty more Soundcloud gems to come over the course of the year.
