Dada Life announce April headline club tour

Image for Dada Life announce April headline club tour

Back in 2011, Swedish duo Dada Life was one of the breakout stars on a Creamfields line-up that also included Deadmau5, Martin Solveig, Chuckie and an on-the-rise Skrillex. Now comes the time for the champagne bottles and giant, inflatable bananas to return. Over the Anzac Day period, the DJs will be back for a run of club shows to pop open their Rules Of Dada album, which has recently been released. The Australian tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Billboard, with the finale planned for Pacha in Sydney.

In the past year, Dada Life played a checklist of major festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Sensation, Global Gathering, Pukkelpop and Coachella, as well as selling out their extensive North American tour months in advance. When they’re not working on the album or hopping between cities, Dada Life keeps up the remix duties for acts like Marina and the Diamonds, Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Duck Sauce and even Madonna and Justin Bieber. The new album features Dada Life tracks they know work in the clubs, like Kick Out the Epic Motherfucker, Happy Violence, Rolling Stones T-Shirt and Feed the Dada. Expect plenty of silliness.

Dada Life tour dates:

Wednesday April 24 (Anzac Day Eve) – Melbourne, Billboard [On sale now at Oztix]
Thursday April 25 (Anzac Day) – Adelaide, HQ Complex
Friday April 26 – The Met, Brisbane
Saturday April 27 – Sydney, Pacha

Some of you are so lost in your 'underground' scenes that you have no idea what commercial actually is, these two are in no way or form commercial. Commercial is what you hear on the radio or top 40 clubs..pretty sure Nova isn't playing kick out the epic motherfucker too often

^ you sure mate, this song and the one you mentioned would sound right at home on cheese fm, as long as they edit the naughty swear words on the epic kick motherfucker out of course.

Its commercial dance music. There's the top 40 clubs as you say which wouldn't play dada life, and then there's the beatport top 10 clubs which always play the big dance hits (Rattle/Epic/Ode to Oi etc). You don't need to be in radio to be considered commercial, you just need that "anthemic" sound built for a huge stadium. The speeding kick drum build up to that loud electro riff bassline is so very common in commercial dance, but it's safe for the crowd and hence every mainstage DJ is going to be dropping it. There's also the chant lyrics "put your hands up high, put em in the air. you know what we do and we do it well", thats just cheese...

Nothing against Dada Life, I'd prob enjoy a set of theirs anyway.

to be fair, they weren't so commercial before their entire genre became commercial.
and their old videos of walking around their house working on throbbing productions were worth a laugh

This garbage is on Nova nation everyday. Heard it twice the other day. I guess I should be thankful work at least plays EDM rather than normal Nova. Just cause you listen to it, doesn't make it cool.
