In 2013, trendsetting French label Ed Banger celebrates ten years in the game. As part of the birthday celebrations, the crew came together at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris on Friday 1 March for Ed Bangerland. Unsurprisingly, the event sold out, but Ed Banger live streamed it all online. The line-up included main man Busy P doing a ‘mega-mix’ of the label’s killer gear alongside the likes of Justice in DJ mode, SebastiAn, Breakbot, Cassius, Feadz and Mr. Flash. Ed Banger also announced the Ed Rec Vol. X compilation, with plenty of goodness locked in. The first Ed Rec edition was released in 2006 and included Justice’s Waters Of Nazareth, Uffie’s Pop The Glock, Mr. Flash’s Radar Rider and I Am Somebody from DJ Mehdi (R.I.P.).

Ed Banger’s 2013 kicked off with the official release of Helix from Justice, with Gesaffelstein and Domenico Torti remixes, and the label has been buzzing with recent releases from Boston Bun, Feadz & Kito and Riton. Then there was SebastiAn’s banger Tetra featuring in the video for the gleefully trashy Spring Breakers movie. The Ed Bangers will all be getting together again at Arena Berlin in September, with a kick-on from the Berlin Festival that’s happening out at Tempelhof Airport.
