Still in his early 20s, M4SONIC has quickly proven to be a wizard of the Launchpad. With 50,000 fans on Facebook and almost 15,000,000 views on YouTube before even playing a full live show, 2013 is looking good for the young talent. As the story goes, M4SONIC discovered the Launchpad when he read Deadmau5’s infamous opinions that DJing is all about smoke and mirrors. His breakout effort Weapon touched on tracks from the likes of Deadmau5, Skrillex, Nero, Porter Robinson and Knife Party, then his original production Virus also set YouTube alight. Now he’s showing off his talents again in the live remix of Empire Of The Sun’s new single, Alive. Check it out below.

After being off-the-radar for good few years, last month Empire Of The Sun resurfaced to announce their second album Ice on the Dune would be coming this June. Though of course, Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore didn’t just go with your standard-issue press release to announce their return – instead, they released the cryptic trailer Discovery, which featured 20 seconds of new music and about two and a half minutes of an archaeology crew discovering cave drawings of the unmistakable duo. Better yet, that video was accompanied by an equally odd (and lengthy) story about the sun’s course across the sky, priests possessing the spirits of wild animals and the fate of an Emperor and Prophet.
