Get excited – we’re just three weeks away from finding out who’s on next year’s Laneway Festival bill. On Tuesday September 24, the team at St. Jerome’s will unveil the 2014 Laneway line-up, lifting the lid on the indier-than-thou acts set to head around the country next February.

This year, Laneway had Nicolas Jaar in the headline slot, bringing the prodigious New Yorker out for his debut Australian tour. Dance fans were also treated to homegrown star Flume fresh off the back of his debut album and sets from L.A. beatmaker Shlohmo, with everyone from Bat For Lashes to Alt J also appearing. As for 2014? If a not-so-subtle tweet from Laneway Festival is any indication, it looks like Scottish outfit CHVRCHES will be part of next year’s bill. The rest of the line-up is anyone’s guess.

Organisers have also unveiled its 2014 dates (see below), as well as venue changes to Adelaide and Perth. In Adelaide, the event will shift from Fowler’s Live/UniSA West Courtyards to the historic Harts Mill in Port Adelaide. Promoter Danny Rogers said the waterside location is akin to Melbourne’s Footscray Community Arts Centre with its industrial-meets-lush vibe. “We searched super hard to find a site that we felt could match the experience that other cities have had with Laneway,” he said. As for Perth, it’ll be making its way from Perth Cultural Centre to Esplanade Park and West End in Fremantle. The site is Adjacent to Fishing Boat Harbour and Bather’s Beach.

In related news, Laneway will make its first foray into the US market later this month. Taking place on September 14 at Meadow Brook Music Festival in Michigan, Laneway Detroit will feature Sigur Ros, The National, Solange, Deerhunter, Warpaint, The Dismemberment Plan, CHVRCHES, Savages, Flume and Chet Faker.
