Hands down one of the dopest dj’s/turntablists on the Planet, DJ Shortkut of the World Famous Beat Junkies crew and DJ Qbert’s right hand man in the San Francisco based turntable crew Invisble Scratch Pickels.



Being one of the for founders of great turntablism and setting the standards for the top hip hop/turntablism dj’s in the world. Born in San Francisco USA, DJ Shortkut has been dj’ing since 1987 and has revolutionised the sound of cutting, scratching, juggling and the art of the turntable for the last 10 years. Furthermore, Shortkut developed many new techniques which are now standard in almost every DJ’s routine.



Shortkut is also world renown for the king of party/club rockin’ hip hop sets and he is now ready to unleash his skills onto Australian soils and set to have the roof blowing off every venue in the country for one of the most explosive night’s of hip hop in Australia! Also coming together with the worlds most fearous DJ battle the International Turntable federation Competition which the winner will take out the heat on the night and be flown to melbourne to see who is Australia’s champion and what it takes to represent Australia at the I.T.F. World DJ Competition in Munich.



Realising this comp is revered worldwide as the most technically exhaustive and stringent DJ comp, their fingers ache and records are burnt one after another. One DJ from every state will emerge from amongst the debris of broken foes to get their one shot at proving they are AUSTRALIA’S BEST.



Hip-Hop.com.au in conjunction with BASE101, Sprite, Universal Records, Alpha Numeric, Numark & Shure are proud to bring the worlds most respected DJ SHORTKUT & DJ competition, I.T.F., back to Australia. Heats will be held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth.



Competitors can enter through the I.T.F. Website & we are currently taking nominations for judges in each city. You can nominate yourself to judge.
