With a Northern Soul background, this ultra rare funk collector Keb Darb, has spearheaded a now burgeoning rare groove movement.
Through his compilations for BBE records, Keb has collaborated with DJ Shadow, Kenny Dope and Pete Rock.
His compilation series ‘Legendary Deep Funk’ bristle Hammond organs, juicy horns, fatback drums, obese bass lines and soulful vocals.
Keb darb is playing at the Empire Hotel on Tuesday August 12, the eve of the Ekka holiday.
