Guests coming up for inthemix’s weekly radio show on FBi 94.5, Saturday nights 8-10pm, include the Funk Trust DJs (otherwise known as Learned Hand and Will Styles), Melbourne DJ and producer Nick Thayer, and Western Australian drum & bass heavyweight Greg Packer. All will be in the studio for an interview and live to air mix! Saturday March 19: Funk Trust DJs (Learned Hand & Will Styles) About to celebrate the third birthday of their ‘block party’, Will Styles and Learned Hand of Funk Trust have the honour of running one of Sydney’s most successful weekly club nights. Renowned for their eclectic sets, covering hip-hop, funk, breaks, and just about every genre in-between, tune in to find out what the Funk Trust boys have on the horizon. Saturday March 27: Nick Thayer (Mel) A stalwart of the Melbourne club scene, Nick Thayer finds himself booked to play all the biggest breakbeat parties south of the border. As well as DJing, Thayer also produces his own tracks, with his debut single ‘Theme One’ about to be released on local record label Breaking Point (the breakbeat arm of Floating Point Music). Saturday April 17: Greg Packer (WA) Not only the biggest name in Western Australia’s drum & bass scene, Greg Packer is without a doubt one of the leading lights on the DnB scene globally. Having recently established his own record label, Interphase, Packer will be in town to DJ with fellow WA act Pendulum at Moving Through Air.
