Jaymz Nylon has been DJing since the age of 14 where he started to mix with early funk and hip-hop while living in Germany. AT age 17, Acid/Chicago House Music began to permiate through Jaymz’ sets as he began to throw his own parties while at University. 

In 1993 Jaymz produced his first record Ofunwa “It all begins here” on Tribal America and his debut album “Afrotech” on Irma (New York, Italy & London) in 2000. Since then Nylon has recorded under various pseudonyms for King Street/Nite Grooves (Tokyo & New York), Loveslap Recordings, Out of the Loop,Captivating, Eightball/Empire State, Velocity, 3hree to 5ive, Discomania (Germany), Obession Music (France), and his own Nylon imprint.

Smooch is held every Sunday on the East Village rooftop at Jaymz Nylon’s guest appearance on the 25th of April will be at the regular price of $5.
