Saturday July 3rd: Vice Versa Sydney duo Vice Versa (MC Ro and DJ Mirage) have been causing a stir in drum & bass circles the world over since they were picked up by LTJ Bukem’s renowned Good Looking record label for a number of 12” releases. Since first experimenting with producing their own music in 2000, Vice Versa have had their track licensed to a number of high profile drum & bass mix CDs, as well as seeing their music appear in sets from Bukem at parties as massive as Field Day. Playing alongside the GLO label boss at Winter Break, they’ll be in at FBi for a chat and live 1 hour mix. Saturday July 10th: Jilbert A recognised name on Sydney’s deep and underground house circuit, Jilbert’s passion for music stems back to the tender age of 10 when he got his first music instrument – a drum kit. A far cry from nowadays then, as he’s more known for his percussive rhythms, acid bleeps and beeps, and jacking Chicago bass lines. Jilbert also recently moved into producing his own music under the guise Headshop Electric (with fellow Sydney DJ Andrew Burge), with their 10 track sampler already receiving interest from labels across the US and Europe. Saturday July 17th: Anthony Pappa (UK/Aus) Although a native of Australian shores, Anthony Pappa has been based in the UK since relocating there at the age of 21. A globally respected DJ, Pappa mixed the first ever Global Underground NuBreed compilation, and will be returning to Australia for a tour to support his brand new mix CD, Balance006. Headlining the July installment of Sweetchilli, this is a show no progressive house fan should miss! Saturday July 24th: Atomic Hooligan (UK) Matt Welch and Terry Ryan have been players on the international breakbeat scene for over a decade. Together they are Atomic Hooligan, respected DJs and producers who’ve remixed for the likes of Underworld, Aquasky vs Masterblaster, Lee Coombs, Chris Carter, and more, and released their music on labels ranging from Botchit Breaks to Junior Boys Own.
