Some of the progressive and breakbeat scene’s biggest stars are coming up for inthemix’s weekly radio show on FBi 94.5 FM, with Anthony Pappa, Atomic Hooligan and Phil K set to take to the decks in the FBi studio over the next three weeks. All artists will be live in the studio for an interview and 1 hour guest DJ mix, so tune in between 8 and 10pm on Saturday nights.

Saturday July 17th: Anthony Pappa (UK/Aus)

Although a native of Australian shores, Anthony Pappa has been based in the UK since relocating there at the age of 21. A globally respected DJ, Pappa mixed the first ever Global Underground NuBreed compilation, and will be returning to Australia for a tour to support his brand new mix CD, Balance006. Headlining the July installment of Sweetchilli, this is a show no progressive house fan should miss!

Saturday July 24th: Atomic Hooligan (UK)

Matt Welch and Terry Ryan have been players on the international breakbeat scene for over a decade. Together they are Atomic Hooligan, respected DJs and producers who’ve remixed for the likes of Underworld, Aquasky vs Masterblaster, Lee Coombs, Chris Carter, and more, and released their music on labels ranging from Botchit Breaks to Junior Boys Own. Touring Australia for the second time, tune in to get a taste of upfront UK breakbeat.

Saturday July 31st: Phil K (Mel)

Australian dance music royalty, Melbourne’s Phil K is barely in need of an introduction. A legend on the progressive and breakbeat scene both in Australia and abroad, Phil K has been turning heads recently with his top-class DJing, production work (as half of Lo-Step with Luke Chable), and for his Renaissance Therapy Sessions mix CD, compiled alongside Dave Seaman. A rare Sydney gig, Phil K will play at Good Vibrations the same night.

Keep your eyes on ITM for guest announcements for forthcoming weeks.
