If Christmas is for your family then Boxing Day is surely kept for your friends. In The Mix is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the best way to spend Boxing Day – at Boomtick’s Breakfest 2004.
Breakfest is the one day where despite stellar lineups, the overall atmosphere is the main attraction. With the motto of “One Stage, One Party, One Vibe”, the stunning Belvoir Amphitheatre provides the perfect setting for what every year thus far has been an amazing day.
As anyone who’s been will tell you – the great thing about Breakfest is simply being able to rock up and find a place in the amphitheatre and sit back as the day builds up around you. As the sun goes down, the energy levels rise and the place lights up into bowl of light and sound – it simply goes off!!
This year promises to be no different with once again a stunning and varied lineup of local and international movers and shakers:
Black Grass – combining funk, jazz, hip hop and dancefloor breaks, this Brighton duo will have no problem getting people on their feet.
Meat Katie & Lee Coombs - Needing little by way of introduction to fans of breaks, these two will be playing back to back for the first time ever in Australia and have been working on a surprise just for Breakfest.
Mo Horizons - This German duo will provide the perfect blend of laidback funky grooves to get everyone ready for the nighttime festiveness.
Bliss n Eso – These Aussie hip hoppers have taken the local scene by storm this year and look destined for bigger and better in 2005 – not to be missed.
Also performing will be local outfits Beat Suite (Micah & Sharif), Lo Key Fu and The Resonance.
Over the course of the day expect a bit of everything including hip hop, broken beat, drum’n’bass, funk and of course breaks.
Tickets are available online at inthemix.com.au NOW. One of the great things about Breakfest is that numbers are strictly limited (remember just one stage), ensuring no overcrowding or lengthy delays. It does mean you need to get in quick before they sell out! Don’t do what thousands of hopeful Field Day partygoers did in Sydney last month – missed out. With Breakfest numbers growing each year ITM can’t stress enough to it’s beloved readers the importance of getting in early.
