The crew responsible for Therapy every Friday night on 2XX 98.3 FM are
celebrating a year of hot beats and great parties with the Gross Motor
Christmas party, featuring a huge cast of Canberran DJs, VJs and live
acts as well as Sydney’s Ollo, and VJ Skatter from the USA.

From Stalker’s warm groovy techno through to Kreme Karmel (who recently
supported Jeff Mills at the ANU), plus Low Ki, Hippo resident DJ Shunji,
Dot-0-Dot, Calico, Beau Nanzha (from 2XX FM), DJ Get Well Mary Kate
(from Sydney’s FBI Radio), and new DJ duo, the Abandonerz, and you’ve
got a pretty impressive group of acts. The music will be complemented by
international guest VJ Skatter’s understated video work, as well as
locals, Scotch Fingers, Michael Ascroft, Paul Mosig and Hana Davies.

The night marks the first visit to Canberra by Sydney duo, Ollo, who
toured America, Europe and Australasia on the back of their critically
acclaimed debut album. They’ve been compared to Herbert, Prefuse 73 and
Kraftwerk, but swear that they’re not quite like any of them.

Gross Motor will also be the farewell set for Bec Paton. One of the few
DJs in the country to mess with the DJing status quo, she constantly
wows Canberra audiences with delicately constructed musical sets that
don’t go too easy on the funk. Not for much longer though. Get down and
give her a big goodbye!
