Having recently moved on from their last home at @Newtown, the Frigid crew have thankfully managed to find a new residence – taking up backroom duties at Boogie Down every Friday from March 4th. Frigid will bring their eclectic sound to Boogie Down, one of Sydney’s finest hip-hop nights, with residents Sub Bass Snarl, Sir Robbo, Prince V and guests appearing every week.
As to be expected, the musical policy will be diverse to say the least, with the press release announcing their new home stating everything from “roots and dub to dancehall and jungle, mutant disco and acid house to tweaked out electro and white noise, along with lashings of krautrock, post-punk and psychedelia” all likely to get a spin. In addition to this, the Frigid crew will also be pushing newer sounds, including grime, broken beat and digital folk.
