The 2005 ARIA Awards take place at the Superdome in Sydney on Sunday October 23rd, and in preparation of the ceremony the final 5 nominees in each of 28 categories were announced earlier this week.

Missy Higgins dominated the nominees list, scoring 7 nominations. She was followed by Ben Lee and Evermore, who each received 5 nominations, with Sarah Blasko receiving 4 nominations.

Nominees for the Best Dance Release award are:

Bodyrockers – I Like The Way
Deepface – Been Good
Dirty South – Sleazy
Infusion – Six Feet Above Yesterday
Rogue Traders – Voodoo Child

There is one publicly voted category in the 2005 awards, the Channel [V] Oz Artist of the Year. Voting in this category is now open to Foxtel Digital subscribers, so just push the red button, or you can cast your vote online at http://www.channelv.com.au/arias05. the first round of voting is open until October 3rd, with voting for the final 4 nominees running from October 4th to 19th.
