Heineken’s massive sellout Thirst event, held on April 24th at The Pavilion, Randwick Racecourse in Sydney this year, has been nominated in the 2005 House Music Awards in the ‘Festival Event of the Year’ category.

The Heineken Thirst event proved to be phenomenally popular with local crowds, all 3,000 tickets for the event having sold out well in advance of the party date. Heineken Thirst was headlined by US house luminaries Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo.

Competition in the category is fierce, with Thirst up against events like the Big Chill Festival in the UK, San Franciso’s Love Parade and Dance Valley in the Netherlands.
