Talvin Singh has just announced his third Adelaide appearance date during the ‘06 Adealide Festival of the Arts, and it’s the best value ticket yet. After appearances from the likes of Ninja Tune’s Hexstatic and numerous other touring guests and performers, Talvin Singh will be performing ‘en plein air’ on this fine night, Thursday March 16th.

Regarded worldwide with cult DJ status, Talvin will be warming up his decks in the garden as a prelude to his Australian Premiere performance of Tabtek. This exciting new performance will take his WOMAD DJ set to whole new level, showcasing his tabla virtuosity and breathtaking visuals courtesy of Japanese VJ, Soi. It has not been disclosed as to whether Soi will be appearing at the Gardens tonight.

Adding some of our own Aussie spice and backing up Talvin is Sydney DJ and producer, Deepchild. Known for his rich blend of deep house and dub productions, he returns from Sydney’s underground scene after his last visit to Adelaide with Entropic last year. Thanks to ITMer Katykat for her lead on this scoop!

For only $5 at this awesome outdoor riverside stage, this show is ITM’s pick of the Persian Gardens’ program. Be sure to get there early, or risk another incredible line-up… the queue to get in! Tickets for Tabtek this weekend are available at Venue*TIX 8225 8888.
