If you’re an Adelaide Fringe-goer, then you’re more than likely to have ventured into the Famous Spiegeltent to catch some live entertainment from the bizarre to the burleque and bawdy. The bad news is that the Fringe is winding up today, but the good news is, for lovers of live beats and ass-shaking, tonight provides one last hurrah. Enter the seething soul, funk and hip hop monster, Kid Confucius!
Hailing from Sydney, this band is a must see for anyone who’s into slick funk that oozes soul and paraphrases the origins of the genre. With nine members, their presence is overwhelming, and their energy is infectious. If you want a sample taste beforehand, check out their website... else slip on them dancing shoes, and head straight for the Garden of Unearthly Delights, East Tce (Cnr Rundle St), Adelaide.
Tickets are $22 / $25, available on the door. The show starts at 8.30, so don’t be late. Remember, this is your last chance to give the Fringe a good old- fashioned Spiegeling in 2006!
